1. Introduction for Alcohols

Alcohols are Organic compounds.
Their general formula is R-OH
R is an Alkyl group.
Alkyl group is a compound with Carbon and Hydrogen.
In Alcohols the compound is between Carbon and Hydroxyl.
Here one or more Hydrogen atoms are replaced by Hydroxyl group (OH)
Alcohols are Hydroxyl-derivatives of hydrocarbons.
The active compound in Alcohol is this Hydroxyl group.
